I am writing a paper about the book:

The Color of Water: A Black Man's Tribute to His White Mother

James McBride

I am writing this paper from the perspective of his search for his identity as a bi-cultural man. The perspectives that I want to bring in are race and ethnic identity theory, symbolic interactionism and psychosocial development.

For all the people who have read this novel, and I am far into it myself, is there anything you think I should include in the paper that would best capture this book, and its meaning? I am not looking for you to do this paper for me, but just to talk about what your thoughts were about the content.

Got nothin hun. Haven't read the book and if I were any more white... I'd be clear.

Sorry, I haven't read the book either.

Oh, and don't be ashamed to send posts out to people. With this redesign a lot of people are really finding it hard to keep up with the community again. I went with feedreaders, but lots of people haven't, and before that I really appreciated the head's up that I got when people sent me stuff they wanted me to see.

Don't be embarrassed about sending out posts. If you didn't, I'd likely miss more of yours and I would hate for that to happen! So, thanks!

And... I've got nothing on the book. I'm a little ashamed to admit I haven't read it.

I read the book so long ago I don't remember much. So I've not got much for you. I remember really enjoying the book but that's not helpful for your purposes. Hope you are doing well and are managing all the many things you've got going without too much stress!
